Our obedience includes God, us and others…
To love and fear Him. To not be stubborn but have a soft heart…this means that we cannot forget who we are in relation to Him (humility). And lastly that justice and hospitality would pour out of us because it is what God fills us with. What pours out of you?
Jeremiah 29:1-14
A heart to live and bless those around us, whether Christian or non- Christian…remember Deuteronomy 4? Discipleship…Maybe Jesus’ teachings weren’t so new after all…How is your light blessing those around you?
Ezekiel 33:1-9
Our actions alone are not the complete picture. God is the God of communication, he invented it and has designed it to be used for His glory. How is your leadership preparing others for whats to come?
I love the Old Testament. It seems like God has from the beginning been revealing to us what it means to follow Him… To follow Jesus!
Jesus Head butts the door in and does what Israel could not do and because of His obedience we by trusting in Him can be counted as righteous. Not only that but Jesus has given us a pattern to follow. Not only that but God promises to hold our hand through all of it, he won’t ever leave us! Sounds like a really good deal.
