Purpose. This is a big word which can leave many with a big question. What is my purpose? How am I to live? And for what?
Let me propose something. If you come at this question with the perspective of knowing that you were created, what would that do for you? At its basic level, it begs 2 additional questions. One, who created me (beyond mom and dad)? Two, why was I created? To be direct and to the point, the Bible informs us that we were created by Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared for us before we were even born (Ephesians 2:10).
If this is true, which it is, how do we discover them? How do we move in them? We all, I am convinced, have been birthed with passions and desires which resonate in our soul. We lean towards a thought, a job. We see things locally or globally that need to be addressed. We have ideas of business that we can create. Opportunities which can bless. Why don’t we move into them? Why do we settle for the job that we are expected to have when we get out of school?
You were created for good works, unique and specifically for you to do.
If you could do anything that would contribute in some shape or form to this world, what would it be?
